Is The Aqueon Background LED Ten Gallon a Good Tank?

Is the Aqueon Background LED ten gallon a good tank? Well mine was. The pump worked perfectly and I never had any issues with that tank.

Then when I moved in May of last year for medical reasons, I gave the Aqueon fish tank away and bought a new one a few weeks later. Only this time I bought a MarineLand ten gallon fish tank. All seemed well at first, but fast forward to January of 2018 and the pump is already dead. That’s kind of a waste seeing as how my Aqueon Background LED ten gallon tank was still working like new at thirteen months in.

[My More In-Depth Review of the Aqueon Ten Gallon Tank]

Maybe I just got a bad one in the bunch, because the MarineLands have pretty good reviews on Amazon. Heck, I don’t know.

I will say this though, just judging between the feel of the products, the Aqueon versus the MarineLand, the Aqueon felt more sturdy to me. The MarineLand, although it will hold water, did feel a little cheap, lightweight.

It’s a good thing it’s time for a fish tank upgrade anyway. I was planning on upgrading from my puny little ten gallon fish tank to a twenty gallon fish tank. I guess now is my chance, right?

So yes, based on my experience, the Aqueon Background LED ten gallon tank is a good tank. It’s well worth the money. At $70 it is a great starter fish tank for your home, kids or to even have at the office. However, please note, as I wrote in an earlier blog, a ten gallon fish tank will work for a pet crayfish, but ideally I think that a twenty gallon fish tank is best. This is especially true if you plan on having other fish in your tank.

Yeah I Know about cheap feeling tanks, which is something that shouldnt exist. this is the type of product that you get what you pay for. I learned the hard way!

Definitely a nice tank. Get this one from the start. you usually end up outgrowing your first tank pretty quickly.
